Internet Advertising For Local Business
Your Business on Page One of Google
Dear Business Owner
We can provide you with a constant stream of new customers every month. However,
if you already have all the business you can handle, there is no reason for you to read any further and I apologise
for wasting your time.
Let me take a or minute or two to explain the current situation with Google and local business on
the internet. For over a decade, Google has dominated the market for global advertising but in the last
two or three years it has turned its attention to the needs of web searchers to find business services in their own
town or city.
The amazing growth in the number of mobile devices, like smart phones and tablets and laptops has
been a significant factor in this switch in emphasis. More and more people are using a mobile phone or ipad to
access the internet. Some experts believe that this will be by far the most common way to search the internet in
just a few years from now.
Google has made significant changes to the mechanics of how it manages local search queries. Most
people are now familiar with Google Maps, where coloured pins showed the location of businesses in a particular
location, with reference to the individual type of business being searched for, whether it be a dentist, a lawyer
or a Chinese take-away.
This has now evolved into Google
Places, where Google allocates just seven slots on page one to
the businesses, in that particular category, which it considers most relevant and most useful to its
customers. These places have become very valuable pieces of internet real estate and competition for them is
very fierce - and will inevitably become more so.
Depending on the type of business and the size of the city, there are usually between 40 and 400
companies listed on Yell.com for any particular service. Many of these will be trying to get one of those seven
places on Page 1, because that is proven to be the most efficient and cost-effective way to get new
business.
If we could place your local business in one of these seven slots, would you be interested? How
many new customers or clients would you need, every month to make a difference? You know your business best, how
many would you need, to make an extra £200, £500, or even £1,000 every month?
Obviously, you will have many questions before you even consider this strategy. We cannot
anticipate them all and we don't have enough room to answer them on this page. If you would like to learn more, I
suggest you first visit our Questions and Answers page. If you
have any question which is not answered there, I will be pleased to discuss this with you, either by email or
telephone. Contact us Here
Thank you for your interest.
